City Bike:
I couldn’t agree with you more than what Editor Ets-Hokin recanted about in a recent column, “Shiftless  and Clueless.” I drive a ’71 Landcruiser and a bicentennial Bultaco, and there’s not an airbag, bell, buzzer, or whistle (not to mention a roof or auto tranny) within five feet of those machines. Talk about road feel.

Dear CityBike:

In the June issue a short article about smog checks for motorcycles expressed the sentiment that the mandate may be little more than a revenue generating scheme. My suspicion is that the program is being driven by yet another agenda…an avenue by which to flank the thorny and difficult to quantify issue of excessive exhaust noise.

After reading Mike O’Brien’s letter confessing his apprehension concerning travel in Mexico, I submit my hints and tips. There have been many articles lately discussing the ins and outs of travel in Mexico. Paperwork, documents, insurance. All the stuff one should tote along. Cables, tubes, tools. But I’m guessing most people know all that already. Is not your first rodeo, si? So let’s talk about things that really matter.
